Homeschooling families, you’re invited to join us at The West Woods on Thursday, August 24, for our Homeschool Days: Family Learning Fair – chock-full of fun activities and information from Geauga County organizations that offer educational opportunities for homeschool students.
Registration is already full for the morning session but still available to drop in anytime 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. To sign up, visit geaugaparkdistrict.org or call 440-286-9516. Please note that registration will be required for all attending, including adults and siblings, and you’ll want to allow your family at least an hour to spend at the park participating.
Upon check-in, each student will get a “Learning Fair Passport” to check off all the participating organizations he or she visits. Completed passports earn a raffle ticket to win cool prizes! Among the local organizations and businesses offering hands-on activities and information will be:
- University Hospitals – giveaways and family health information
- Women United United Way – book giveaway
- Geauga Park District – explore a meadow with a naturalist (nets provided)
- Geauga County Public Library & Burton Library – crafts and resources
- Ohio Division of Wildlife – educational materials
