How Many People Does It Take To Band A Bobolink?

Find out by holding a mist net for Geauga Park District naturalists.

Get an up-close look as Bobolinks are netted, banded and released at this special visit to South Russell Village Park!

What: Bobolink Banding

When: Sunday, March 31 – 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Where: South Russell Village Park, on the south side of Bell Road 0.9 miles west of State Route 306 (Chillicothe Road)

All hands will be needed from the public as we form a line to gently drive meadow bird species into a line of mist nets. This is an excellent opportunity to see these pretty birds up close and to understand the importance of managing land for disappearing species.

Best suited for those school age and up, activities will not be wheelchair/stroller accessible. Registration is not required to join us. Please call 440-286-9516 with questions.

Geauga Park District is online at www.geaugaparkdistrict.org, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.
