Grab a net and work for your lunch! Our naturalists want to lead you in an annual census, while teaching identification, habits and food sources of these amazing insects.
Oh, and did we mention there’s a burger or hot dog lunch at stake?
What: Burgers-n-Butterflies, Dogs-n-Dragons
When: Sunday, July 10 – Noon to 3:30 p.m.
Where: Swine Creek Reservation, Lake Side, 16004 Hayes Road, Middlefield Township
We don’t even ask that you register – just show up if you’re feeling helpful and hungry, and anyone who catches a butterfly or a dragonfly will be eligible for a free hamburger or hotdog. Nets will be provided, but please bring your own sunscreen and wear long pants.
This fun afternoon is suitable for all ages and partially wheelchair/stroller accessible. Call 440-286-9516 with questions.
