All you have to do is catch a butterfly or dragonfly to earn your meal!
Grab a net and work for your lunch as part of our annual census!
We don’t even ask that you register for the Burgers ‘n Butterflies, Dogs ‘n Dragons program on Sunday, July 9th, 12:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Swine Creek Reservation. Just show up if you’re feeling helpful and hungry, and anyone who catches a butterfly or dragonfly will be eligible for a free hamburger or hot dog from the grill!
Naturalists will also be on hand to share information about identification, habits and food sources of these amazing insects.
All ages are welcome, and activities will be partially wheelchair/stroller accessible. We’ll provide nets, you bring sunscreen and wear long pants to keep comfortable as you search the fields. We’ll see you in the park!
