Join a Geauga Park District Naturalist for The Amphibians at Affelder Program on Sunday, August 12

Register at Geauga Park District or 440-286-9516 to join Naturalist Dottie Drockton for the discovery of Dusky Salamanders, tadpoles, frogs and other critters like crayfish and dragonflies during a program coming up at The West Woods in Russell Township!

The Amphibians at Affelder program on Sunday, August 12th, 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., will take place in some sensitive natural areas of The West Woods found via a separate Affelder House entrance located at 15139 Chillicothe Road. Drive about a mile back and park near the Lewis & Ruth Affelder House, which is also available for public reservations; for those details, visit our new website under Parks, then The West Woods.

This exploration for amphibians will be outdoors and off trail, so please dress accordingly and wear shoes that can get wet and/or muddy. Rain gear may also be advisable depending on the forecast.
