Join Geauga Park District for a Fall Flower Foray on Saturday, September 23rd

Take in seasonal scenes at a golf course Nature has reclaimed . . .  Take a leisurely stroll on paved paths below sandstone cliffs and among towering prairie plants and diverse native fall flowers.

Sounds nice, doesn’t it? Join Geauga Park District for a Fall Flower Foray on Saturday, September 23rd from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., at Orchard Hills Park – no registration required!

As Nature has reclaimed this former golf course property, Orchard Hills is ablaze with color this time of year: coneflowers, goldenrods, sunflowers, ironweed, coreopsis, lobelia and towering prairie dock, to name a few. Let Naturalist Judy Bradt-Bartnhart lead the way, pointing out the ledges to speak about rock formation and sharing thoughts on what’s blooming with its associated folklore.

This foray will stay in areas that are wheelchair and stroller accessible. Please call 440-286-9516 with questions.
