On Saturday, September 23rd Northeast Ohio Adoption Services (NOAS) will host its 5th Annual Home Team Celebration at Progressive Field from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. All proceeds will benefit NOAS and its mission of finding foster and adoptive parents for Ohio’s 4,000 children waiting in the foster care system. Since its inception nearly 40 years ago, NOAS has continued to raise awareness about the urgent need for families for children in our area and combat the many myths surrounding the adoption and foster care process. NOAS charges no fees to families and works with purpose and urgency to fundraise and give the children we serve the chance of a forever family. The Home Team Celebration offers those looking to support the mission a fun way to make a difference in the life of a child!
Many foster children have been in the system for multiple years and begin to lose hope of a family. For a 17 year old like DeAndre, the need for a family is urgent. He explains, “When you start moving from place to place often you start to get used to it. I get nervous and mad because I feel like I’ll never be adopted. I want a family because I need someone to support me and help me with all of things you need to know to be an adult.” Guests will have many opportunities to join NOAS in working towards making an impact for kids like De’Andre.
Join us with Cleveland’s Loree Vick as Emcee for a unique experience featuring appetizers in the bullpen and warning track with photo opps and cocktails while the Indians vs. Seattle Mariners game is broadcast on the scoreboard. Following the reception on the field, a buffet dinner will be served in The Corner Bar overlooking Progressive Field, entertainment with performer Rick Smith, a caricature artist, and a balloon pull in which prizes will be awarded. In addition, there will be a cash raffle, chance and live auction.

Northeast Ohio Adoption Services serves all of Northeast Ohio. NOAS has found and prepared families for nearly 1,300 Ohio children since 1978. NOAS, a private nonprofit agency, is different from many others. The children we place for adoption have been permanently removed from their birth families because their parents could not or would not care for them.
