Kenston Center Stage present Little Shop of Horrors
Kenston Center Stage is excited to present Little Shop of Horrors on Thursday, March 18, Friday, March 19 and Saturday, March 20 at 7pm; and a 2pm matinee performance on Saturday, March 20 in the Kenston High School, Robert A. Lee Auditorium. Limited socially distanced seating is available for this production. All audience members are required to wear facial coverings. A meek and mild floral assistant Seymour Krelborn stumbles across a new breed of plant he names “Audrey II” – after his coworker crush, Audrey. This foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune to the down and out Krelborn as long as he keeps feeding it, BLOOD. Over time, though, Seymour discovers Audrey II’s out of this world origins and intent towards global domination! Throw in a greedy flower shop owner an ill-intentioned dentist and some singing street urchins and this sci-fi classic finds its home at Kenston High School.

Kenston Intermediate School fourth grader Juliana Shumaker and her dog Maggie were selected as the winner in the #1 Dog in Geauga County essay contest. Geauga County Auditor Charles E. Walder presented the honor to Juliana and Maggie at an awards ceremony with Miss Maddie Monroe’s class. Kenston Intermediate School student wins #1 Dog in Geauga County essay contest
Speech and Debate Team complete season
The Kenston High School Speech and Debate Team placed 23rd at the State Tournament with the team’s second best finish in its 22 year history. Eden Truax placed 7th in Declamation. Samantha Stephens placed 13th in Congressional Debate while Micah Greenberg took 13th in Humorous Interpretation. Reaching quarterfinals were Colin Varga in Congressional Debate and Skylar Cinch in Humorous Interpretation.

Kenston Intermediate School is pleased to announce their Students of the Month for February. 2021 Senior Graduation Video Information
Graduation is just quickly approaching. We need your help gathering photographs of the Class of 2021 during their Kenston school career, grades kindergarten through 12, to be released in conjunction with graduation. We would like to include photos of your student’s favorite Kenston moments such as the first days of school, the 100th Day of Kindergarten, Flat Stanley, International Festival, athletics or class trips.
There are two ways to get the photos to us: (1) email the digital images to email@example.com with “Graduation Video Photos” in the subject line, (2) bring paper photographs to school, drop them off in the Guidance Office with your name 1st block class on your envelope. Any pictures that you share should include your student’s name printed on the back of each picture. Photos must be submitted by Friday, April 16.
