Shake off the winter blues as we welcome spring with a concert of joyful music for the whole family. Selections include Alfred Reed’s exuberant overture The Hounds of Spring, “Variations on a Shaker Melody” from Aaron Copland’s famous ballet Appalachian Spring, and Strauss’ upbeat Thunder and Lightning Polka. We’ll also be performing an Irish Rhapsody by Cleveland native Clare Grundman, a medley of songs all relating to spring’s most notable weather element, Rain, as well as music by Edvard Grieg and Leonard Bernstein, among others.
