The list of graduates of Leadership Geauga County reads like a local Who’s Who: Sheriff Dan McClelland, Commissioner Tracy Jemison, Superintendent Doug DeLong, UH Geauga Medical Center CEO Steve Jones, United Way Executive Director Kimm Leininger, Kinetico HR Director Chris Montana, Geauga Parks Director Tom Curtin, and Company 119 CEO Christian Klein, and more than 4000 others.

Leadership Geauga has a few community at-large applications still available for the Class of 2014.

Leadership Geauga, which began in 1995, is a leadership development program aimed at increasing the leadership pool for community activities in Geauga County. Each year, approximately 35 people are selected to participate in the program, which begins in September and ends in June the following year.

The selection committee seeks diversity in the make-up of the Leadership Geauga class in regard to age, ethnicity, gender, socio-economic factors and occupation. Candidates should exhibit an interest in civic involvement.

During the 10-month program, participants receive in-depth education on critical issues in the community including Government, Human Services, Business, Education, Health & Safety, Arts & Leisure, Youth, and Agriculture, as well as leadership and personal development topics.

To receive an application or for more information, please contact Executive Director Dr. Bob Faehnle at (440) 286-8115 or drbob@leadershipgeauga.org
