Jump on the Halloween Wagon!
Oct 20, 2013 @ 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm
Traditional Halloween wagon rides return
No worries, it’s not scary. We’re just serving a Halloween twist on some fun nature exploration.
You and your family are invited to get into the spooky spirit with a tractor-pulled wagon ride that focuses on outdoor creepy-crawlies.
Free passes will be available on site to ensure first-come, first-served boarding for the rides, each about a half hour. Naturalist Linda Gilbert said guests will also see Halloween-themed skits performed by Park District volunteers.
“Lots of families look forward to this every year,” said Naturalist Linda Gilbert. “Only in the past few years have we tailored them for Halloween. The skits this year are Bloodsuckers, Slime and Vultures.
“It’s not scary – we just serve the Halloween twist on them. It’s fun!”
Costumes are welcome, and registration is not required for this free, fit-for-all-ages program. Though not wheelchair / stroller accessible, strollers and wheelchairs can be safely left at the trailhead so that all people can ride the wagons. No pets, please. Rides last about a half hour and will be cancelled in case of bad weather. Call 440-286-9516 with questions.
