Meet The Young Artists

Geauga’s kids present an exhibition of their own work

The West Woods Nature Center

Enjoy youth art, nature or both? Visit The West Woods Nature Center to meet young artists from area grade schools and view their delightful collection of wildlife and nature-themed works as part of Geauga Park District’s “Young at Art with Geauga’s Kids” exhibition, on display through December.

Meet the Artists: “Young at Art with Geauga’s Kids” Exhibition will be held on Sunday, October 28 from 2 to 4 p.m. at The West Woods Nature Center, 9465 Kinsman Road (Route 87), Russell Township

At this public art reception, Geauga kids ages 5 to 12 will proudly display one or two pieces each interpreting nature through their own eyes. This public reception – to which all artists, parents, and teachers are especially invited – will also include refreshments provided by Park District volunteers and costumes, which are encouraged but not mandatory.

Wish you still had time to enter your child? Ask and ye shall receive! Artwork is still being collected at The West Woods through Monday, October 22. All entries must be matted and/or framed; three-dimensional pieces may also be displayed in a locked case.

The West Woods Nature Center is open daily 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and wheelchair/stroller accessible. Call 440-286-9516 with questions.

Geauga Park District is online, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
