Bistro 322 is the ‘new kid on the block’, and it won’t take long before you have a new best friend either! Just hang out with Strawberry Shortcake, Brownie Sundae, or Peanut Butter Cup, and I think you’ll agree!
Sarah Mascaro, owner of the new local cafe in East Claridon, relocated from the west side of Cleveland in May. “We were a small ice cream shop…. that needed to be relocated due to economic decline in the area we were in. So we figured we would pack up and come out to Geauga County. We have a lighter selection of food, complemented by our full service ice cream menu.”
Bistro 322 opens at 6 a.m. Monday – Friday for you early birds and offers a ‘grab and go’ coffee and breakfast selection as well as their regular menu of sandwiches, wraps, hot dogs, and fresh salads – and, of course, sweet treats! They tempt you with shakes, freezes, floats, malts, blasts, and cones in a variety of sizes and flavors. And then there are the Sundaes! Try the Black Forest with cherries, hot fudge, pecans, ice cream, and whipped cream. Or how about the Calypso with strawberries, bananas, pineapples, coconut, ice cream, and whipped cream? Are you drooling yet? If sundaes aren’t your thing, maybe a Flurry would hit the spot. Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Kit-Kat Smores, and Peanut Butter Cups are just a few of the many mix-ins you can choose from.
Don’t think Bistro 322 is only about sweet treats, though. They will serve up a mighty tasty and healthy lunch or dinner plate for you as well. Sarah raves about a couple of customer favorites. “The Hilltopper is our biggest hit with a simple twist to a classic club. We have our homemade lemon garlic mayo which totally gives this sandwich a one of a kind taste. Another would be our Burton – juicy chicken, spinach, and artichokes with our homemade pesto sauce. We have a wide variety of salads and sandwiches that can be turned into wraps. So no matter what your situation is, we have something to satisfy everyone’s tastebuds.” They also run daily specials that they switch up to bring in new tastes and menu items.
Sarah loves putting smiles on patrons faces and knowing they are providing a healthier menu option for a reasonable price.
Eating healthy doesn’t have to cost a fortune,” she says.
In the future, she hopes to expand and grow into a larger scale sit down restaurant with a take out and delivery side. Yes – there IS a take out and delivery side to Bistro! Visit their Facebook page for a view of the menu and give them a call!
