When you think of hamburgers, you think of a round patty of meat placed into a bun that is served up with ketchup, mustard, onion, tomato, lettuce or a number of other condiments. These hamburgers are not like those hamburgers at all. In fact, there isn’t even a bun.
We always knew when Mom’s BBQ hamburgers were going to be on the dinner menu – their distinguishing aroma could be smelled from miles away. I have tried many times to make my hamburgers taste the way hers did. I have used her recipe over and over again, using the same ingredients and instructions she used, but I just can’t duplicate the taste no matter how hard I try. So, the taste I remember will remain a memory that is tastefully cherished. You can be sure your family will enjoy these as much as mine do. I have been told many times I just don’t make them enough. Enjoy!
