This coming March 30, a Wednesday, Geauga Park District naturalists are gearing up to celebrate National Take a Walk in the Park Day in a special way – by leading five hikes throughout the county. Join them by registering at www.geaugaparkdistrict.org or 440-286-9516!
Limited space remains for three of the day’s scheduled hour-long walks: Big Creek Park at 10:30 a.m., Beartown Lakes Reservation at 1 p.m., and Frohring Meadows at 3 p.m. (Walks at Walter C. Best Wildlife Preserve at 8:30 a.m. and Orchard Hills Park at 6 p.m. already have waiting lists.) For details on each naturalist-led hike, and registration, visit our website under Programs & Events.
Of course National Take a Walk in the Park Day will also be a great excuse for a self-guided walk in any of your 27 parks. Consider taking one on your own! Spring will have already begun March 20, and there is so much this season to discover.
