It was a beautiful day for the annual NDES Day and Walkathon!
Beginning with a pep rally, announced by Wallkathon Experience Winners, Jaxon and Jaiden Mangelluzzi, students received a surprise visit from ND Schools Tuffy the Lion. Activity Stations provided lots of fun for children in grades K-5, while students in grades 6-8 played a game of kickball in honor of Sam Szabo, a beloved NDES student who lost his life to Leukemia. After lunch, everyone put on their walking shoes for the mile walkathon which raised over $34,000 to support special programs at NDES.
