Camping is not just for summer!
On Jan. 11 – Jan. 14, NDES sixth grade students embarked on an overnight learning adventure at the Cuyahoga Valley Environmental Education Center (CVEEC)!

The CVEEC is a unique learning place that incorporates classroom instruction such as art, technology, science, math, social studies and language arts into a discovery-based program.

Students were immersed in nature from the moment they stepped off the bus with hikes through the 500 acres of wilderness, performing and viewing environmental experiments, exploring animal behavior and habitation, participating in team building activities, songs and enjoying nutritious meals prepared from locally produced foods. Students encountered nature each day and discovered their important role and responsibility to each other and the world around them.
