Introducing Nights Out in the Parks, running mid-May through mid-August, includes four outdoor amphitheater shows, two art workshops and one outdoor movie night – especially for enjoying the arts in Nature!
Nights Out workshops at The West Woods Nature Center will be Fairy Gardens on Saturday, May 16, from 7 to 8 p.m., for $20; and Jewelry, Wine & Friends on Saturday, July 11, from 7 to 9 p.m., for $30. Register on the Geauga Park District’s website or 440-286-9516 for more information.
The rest of the Nights Out are entirely registration and fee free!
Nights Out’s great line-up of live music shows are all Saturdays from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Big Creek Park’s outdoor amphitheater, with refreshments served. The lineup inclides: Chardon Polka Band (stars of REELZChannel’s new Polka Kings series!) on May 30, Hot Djang (an acoustic jazz quintet featuring violin, clarinet, guitars and upright bass) on June 27, The JiMiller Band (a musical Americana of blues, country, Cajun, old rock-n-roll, jazz and bluegrass) on July 25 and The Craic Brothers (Irish acoustic rock) on August 22.
Last but not least, take in Disney’s A Bug’s Life under the stars at Movie Night on Saturday, August 8, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Chickagami Park – complete with real bugs and bug activities.
