A good time ensured for all with fireside stories, night hiking, and s’mores.
Need a good excuse to savor the nighttime chill as a family? Then gather ’round a blazing outdoor campfire with other community families for a story or two, followed by a journey into the darkness––without flashlights––to experience the magical world of Nature at night!
What: Family Campfire and Night Hike
When: Saturday, November 22, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Where: Sunnybrook Preserve, Lodge
12474 Heath Road, Chester Township
Naturalist Karie Wheaton is eager to show you how awesome night hikes can be for exploring your senses and learning how nocturnal animals have adapted theirs to survive and thrive at night.
“After ensuring we can comfortably navigate in the dark, we’ll head back to the campfire for a sweet treat before saying good-night,” Naturalist Karie said. “Please remember to dress for the weather!”
Registration is not required for this program, which is partially wheelchair/stroller accessible.
