Notre Dame Elementary School 2nd Grade Students Celebrate their First Communion as a Class

On May 20th, the second-grade students at Notre Dame Elementary School celebrated their First Communion as a school community with Reverend Anthony Schueller as the celebrant.  At Notre Dame Elementary School, students receive the Sacrament of Holy Eucharist in their home parishes.  Preparation for this holy sacrament takes place at their parish and at Notre Dame Elementary School as part of the second-grade curriculum.  As a school tradition, once all students have received their first communion, Notre Dame Elementary School celebrates as a class with a special Sunday liturgy and reception.

Thank you to our volunteers, Mrs. Denielle Paglia and Mrs. Karee Broome for chairing this beautiful reception and our, 2nd grade teachers, Miss Julie Amantea, Mrs. Stacey Modarelli and Sr. Carol Marek, SND, our Religious Coordinator for preparing our students for this holy event.
