November 2022 Woodland Wednesdays presents: “Maple Madness! From Our Trees to Your Table”

Don’t miss this “sweet” opportunity to visit Seldom Seen Farm in Montville, Ohio.  After purchasing their land in 2008, Kevin and Morgan Holy became first generation farmers who grew their maple hobby into a business, with maple products being their main source of income. Join us on Wednesday, November 9th from 4:00 -6:30 pm at Seldom Seen Farm (10055 Madison Rd, Montville, Ohio 44064) to learn more about maple syrup production, other agroforestry opportunities, and the importance of managing a sugarbush for forest health. Our featured speakers are Kevin Holy, Seldom Seen Farm and Jason Grossman, Maple Specialist for H2O Innovation.

This in-person program is free but registration is limited and required by November 7th.  Light refreshments will be served and it’s recommended to dress for the weather and bring a folding/camp chair and reusable mug.  To register visit woodlandwednesdaysnovember2022.eventbrite.com or contact Geauga SWCD at 440-834-1122 or gprunty@geaugaswcd.com.

Collaborators include Natural Resources Conservation Service, Geauga, Lake, Ashtabula, Portage, and Trumbull Soil and Water Conservation Districts, Division of Forestry, Farm Bureau, and Holden Forests and Gardens.
