Springtime Events at Ohio State Parks

“From wildlife weekends to music festivals, special events at and near Ohio’s state parks celebrate our state’s rich human history, geological wonders, abundant wildlife, recreational offerings and natural and cultural attractions,” said Dianna Rom, regional director of sales and marketing for Ohio State Park Lodges. “With such a wide array of choices, the most difficult decision travelers will face is choosing which event to experience.

Regardless of the location, however, Ohio State Park Lodges offer a great way to get away without spending a fortune on accommodations or transportation. Deer Creek, Mohican, Maumee Bay, Punderson Manor, and Salt Fork are all magical playgrounds where friends and family find adventure and make memories that will last a lifetime. All five lodges offer a variety of value-added lodging packages such as the Bed & Breakfast Package including lodge rooms and breakfast for two.

Haunted History Tours at Punderson Manor

Beginning Thursdays, May 23 – Oct. 31, weekly Haunted History Tours bring the lodge’s ghosts – um – alive as stories of hauntings are retold by paranormal experts, many who have personally experienced the lodge’s friendly ghosts. The evenings begin with dinner followed by tours of the Western Reserve and Punderson Manor State Park Lodge and followed by ghost stories told around a roaring bonfire. For this tour and other offerings and events, visit Punderson’s website.
