The 1994 Division II State Football Champions Return to Chardon Memorial Field Friday night

The 1994 Division II State Football Champions will return to Chardon Memorial Field this Friday night when the Hilltoppers take on the Alliance Aviators. The team will be introduced to the crowd right after the band performances at halftime. Chardon won the championship by beating Riverside, Padua, and Walsh Jesuit to get to the State Championship Game at Massillon’s Paul Brown Tiger Stadium. There, the Hilltoppers defeated the Panthers from Rayland Buckeye Local.

G-TV will be replaying the four games of that championship run this week. Monday, the Riverside-Chardon game (at Euclid) will air at 6:00 p.m., 8:30 p.m., and 11:00 p.m. on G-TV CH. 1025. Tuesday the Padua-Chardon contest (at Euclid) will be replayed at 6:00 p.m., 8:30 p.m., and 11:00 p.m. on G-TV CH. 1025. The Walsh Jesuit-Chardon game (at Byers Field), which many believe was the most difficult contest of them all, will air at 6:00 p.m., 8:30 p.m., and 11:00 p.m. on G-TV CH. 0125. The State Championship Game against Rayland Buckeye Local will be replayed at 6:00 p.m., 8:30 p.m., and 10:00 p.m. on G-TV CH. 1025.

Family, Friends and Fans are invited to join in the celebration after the Alliance game at the Bass Lake Taverne in Chardon for memorabilia, memories and more!
