The Diary of Anne Frank is to be performed March 6 – 22 (weekends) at Geauga Lyric Theater. The shows will be at 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. on Sundays.
Directed by Angela Miloro-Hansen, the play is based on a book of writings from the diary kept by Anne Frank while she was in hiding for two years with her family during the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands. A true story, the papers were found after the family’s capture by friends and hidden from the Gestapo.
Anne’s story has touched many people’s hearts, and the sweet, sad and sometimes funny trials of her family, friends and strangers hiding for their lives has become a theater classic.
