The GANG Visits Innovative Arts in Chesterland for September Program

On Tuesday evening, September 20th, the Geauga Arts Network Group (GANG) will be visiting Innovative Arts at 8095 Mayfield Road in Chesterland,Ohio, for an introduction to some of the many local artists whose works are featured there. Featured guest will be Peg Ritt, Director of Innovative Arts, who will be speaking about her goal of providing local artists with a welcoming studio and gallery space where they can develop, display and sell their work. Host for the evening will be photographer Frank Fende, and there will be surprise appearances by some of the many artists whose works are currently on display.

Ritt is a Chesterland resident and a member of the Chesterland Chamber of Commerce. Although her original career was in IT consulting, Ritt was always surrounded by art and artists growing up. She learned to appreciate how some people can make beautiful things with just a pencil or brush. When an unexpected layoff interrupted her career, Ritt and her stepfather decided to create Innovative Arts: a studio for creative growth. In addition to providing local artists with studio and gallery space, Innovative Arts offers a variety of classes and seminars for continuing arts education.

GANG members will be providing light refreshments for this relaxing evening, which begins at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 20th. The program is free and open to the general public. The Geauga Arts Network Group is an ad hoc group whose mission is to promote communication, collaboration, and cooperation across artistic disciplines for artists living and/or working in Geauga County.
