Engaging activities, park tours and refreshments served at veterans reception
Armed Forces veterans and your families, enjoy the splendor of autumn at one of our newest parks, formerly Wicked Woods Golf Course, during Geauga Park District’s Veterans Legacy Woods Reception on Saturday, November 9th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Activities will include a naturalist-led hike, EZ Go Cart tours, refreshments and the Park District’s set of “giant games”: cornhole, chess, checkers and jenga.
“This event is just a way to say thank you to our veterans in recognition of Veteran’s Day at this new park, which pays tribute to their legacy,” said Executive Director John Oros.
Veterans Legacy Woods in located at 14085 Ravenna Road in Newbury Township. Activities will take place inside the banquet facility and outdoors, so please dress for the weather and call ahead with questions.
