The Chardon Square Association would like to announce the arrival of the tradition of Squarecrows on the Historic Chardon Square. The appearance of Squarecrows are an annual local tradition to celebrate the arrival of fall.
Starting the week of October 14, visitors to the Square can expect to be welcomed by a host of Squarecrows around the Square. These fall fellows will be judged the weekend of October 24, and the three most creative displays will receive prizes.
“Every year when you see the Squarecrows arrive on the Square you know that fall is here and Halloween is just around the coroner,” said Jeff Campbell, contest chairperson. “The Squarecrows are a wonderful way for creative businesses to usher in fall.”
Everyone is invited to visit the Square to see these unique creations that our local merchants will be making and which will be on display through October 31. If you would like to participate in the Squarecrow contest, please email squarecrows@chardonsquareassociation.org, call 440-537-7316.
