The Trumbull County Annual Fall Foliage Tour will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2012 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. This year’s tour will feature Mesopotamia, Ohio. The event is free and open to the general public. Mesopotamia Township is located in Northwest Trumbull County, at the juncture of Trumbull, Ashtabula, and Geauga Counties. The center of town is located at the intersections of State Route 534 and State Route 87.
Mesopotamia is in the heart of Amish Country in Trumbull County, Ohio. Mesopotamia (called Mespo by the locals) is home to the 4th largest old order Amish population in the world. Rich in history, Mespo is a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Step back in time and enjoy the farm lands that surround this little town.
The stops on the tour include:
Mesopotamia Historical Methodist Church – Tour of the church, purchase breakfast
Mesopotamia Historical Society – Tour of the Museum – purchase & an Amish Wedding Feast served at dinner time
End of the Commons General Store – Oldest general store in Ohio
Miller’s Furniture – Amish furniture for sale
Kuhn’s Hay Manufacturing – Farm equipment on display
Ridgeview Farm – Featuring Fall Fun Weekends at the farm
The Trumbull County Antique Tractor Club will have various antique tractors on display around the town. Live music will be provided by Saving Grace at 11:30 until 1 p.m. under the pavilion. (across from the church).
