Come view the dark night sky through one of the largest public viewing telescopes in Ohio at Geauga Park District’s Nassau Astronomical Station in Observatory Park!
Restored and reopened to the public in 2017, this facility invites you to an extraordinary view of the heavens during night sky viewing the following Saturdays from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.:
- January 25th
- February 8th
- February 22nd
- March 14th
- March 28th
Should weather conditions prevent sky viewing, Astronomy Naturalist “Astro-nat” Chris Mentrek will instead host one of his fantastic planetarium presentations at the McCullough Science Center on Observatory Park’s main campus.
Members of the Chagrin Valley Astronomical Society will also host similar opportunities to view the night sky these Saturdays from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.:

In addition to viewing the giant telescope, visitors can check out the living quarters and museum elements celebrating Ohio’s place in the history of astronomy, research done within the building and more.
Nassau Astronomical Station in Observatory Park is accessed via a separate drive at 10350 Clay Street, just north of the main campus’ entrance. Registration is not required for any of the above listed programs. Please call 440-286-9516 with questions.
