Who Doesn’t Love to Eat Garbage Now and Then?

If your family is always on the go like mine is, then I’m pretty sure you already love those casserole, crockpot, easy make-ahead dishes. Finding a recipe where you can throw everything into one pan or pot and just be done with it – who doesn’t like that recipe!

Garbage is a great dish to make ahead, especially if you know you will be short on time for making dinner. There is some preparation, but with Friday night football games beginning, this could become one of your favorite go-to-before-game meals to make on Thursday nights. As a leftover, take this dish to work where it is really good heated up and tasty the second time around. Compliment this dish with your family’s favorite fruit and/or vegetable, along with garlic bread, and it’s a hit!

Why not take the time to gather everyone together this fall for a pot luck dinner and a late night fire. This is a great way to reconnect with friends you care about but missed seeing them because of everyone’s busy summer months. Throw a little garbage together for them. You will be glad you did, and so will they.

My 4th pick in “Recipes with funny names,” is the only one I think should follow the garbage recipe, and I think you will soon agree. Stay tuned…..
