For 75 years, the Geauga Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) has been providing assistance to landowners, organizations, businesses, and local and state government in the management of natural resources.
Carmella Shale, Geauga SWCD District Director/Engineer, accepted recognition for the District’s milestone at the Ohio Federation of Soil and Water Conservation District’s Annual Meeting in Columbus. Formed in the aftermath of our Nation’s catastrophic Dust Bowl, SWCDs remain the local go-to agencies and conservation leaders of their communities.
