Geauga County Public Library Introduces New Mini Mobile Memory Labs

Geauga County – February 17, 2021 – In addition to its full-service Mobile Memory Lab (MML) housed at their Thompson Branch, Geauga County Public Library (GCPL) now offers two mini MMLs, one for photos and one for video, which further engages members of the community to capture, record, and preserve important parts of their personal histories.

Each session will last two hours. As with the full-service MML, community members must complete an orientation to use the mini MMLs. Community members who have not completed an orientation can schedule one at www.GeaugaLibrary.net under “Programs.”

The video mini MML will be housed at GCPL’s Bainbridge Branch. It features an 8mm film scanner, VHS digitizer, and video editing software. Sessions will last for two hours and will be held at 9 a.m., noon, 3 p.m., and 5:45 p.m. Monday – Friday and 9 a.m., noon, and 3 p.m. on Saturdays.
