Frohring Meadows is finally ready to show off its colors!
After eight years of getting established and two prairie burns, Frohring Meadows’ prairie will be ablaze with color all summer long! Join Naturalist Judy Bradt-Barnhart to observe the oft-stunning view on guided walks in July and August.
Progressive Prairie Prowls will take place at 16780 Savage Road on Wednesday, July 20, and Monday, August 22, from 6 to 8 p.m.
“From the drier, gravely short grass prairie to the towering, tall grass prairie, then to the moist sedge meadow, we’ll watch the progression of wildflowers as they emerge,” said Naturalist Judy.
Interpretation will cover the history of prairies in Ohio and special adaptations for survival in this harsh environment and be best suited for those school age and up.
Due to some off-trail walking to get a closer look at the flowers, long pants and closed-toed shoes are recommended, and activities are not wheelchair/stroller accessible.
Registration is not required to join us. Please call 440-286-9516 with questions.
