
Hungry local residents and travelers can enjoy the spring awakening taking place at Punderson State Park throughout the month of May with a series of special events in the Manor House’s Cherry Dining Room overlooking the lake and new boardwalk.
On May 1, 15, and 22, all-you-care-to-eat pancake breakfasts, featuring world-famous Geauga County maple syrup, will be offered from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cost is $10.95 for adults and $7.95 for children age 12 and under.
Mondays are also a little bit easier, thanks to Punderson Manor’s happy-hour-friendly ‘Burgers and Beer’ nights from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on May 2, 9, 16, and 23. Enjoy a handcrafted all-beef patty with American cheese and a domestic beer for only $9.95.
Head south of the border on May 5 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with Punderson Manor’s ‘Mojitos & Burritos’ buffet, featuring an all-you-care-to-eat buffet for $14.95 and signature mojito cocktails for only $6 each.
But the main dining event for May will once again be Punderson Manor’s famous Mother’s Day buffet from 11 am to 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 8. Favorites include Chef-carved prime rib, peach bourbon pork loin, lemon dill baked salmon, salad bar, appetizers, sides, and multiple desserts. The all-you-care-to-eat price for adults is $37.99, $33.99 for seniors age 60 and up, $16.99 for children age 5 through 12, and kids 4 and under eat free with paying adult. As an added feature to this year’s Mother’s Day celebration, horse-drawn carriage rides around the park will be offered around Punderson Park from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 8. These leisurely 10-15 minute rides will also allow families to meet the horses up close and take pictures. Only $12 for adults and $8 for children age 10 and under.
