to host educational workshop on bats April 9th
Don’t miss a one-of-a-kind Advanced Project WILD workshop focused on Ohio’s fascinating winged mammals. This free workshop will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm at The West Woods Nature Center in Russell, Ohio.
Researchers and education professionals will share bat biology, survey techniques, education activities, and threats to bat populations through formal presentations and hands-on opportunities. Professionals from Geauga Park District, Geauga County Soil & Water Conservation District, Metro Parks Serving Summit County, ODNR Division of Wildlife, OSU Extension, and University of Akron will present throughout the day.
